Denza B5 and B8 Showcased in Nepal at NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026; Price, Range and Features
The Denza B5 and B8 are being showcased in Nepal at the ongoing NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026, marking the arrival of Denza’s premium plug-in hybrid SUV lineup in the country.
Hybrid technology has emerged as one of the major themes of this year’s mobility expo, with several manufacturers showcasing electrified SUVs alongside their EV offerings.
The BAIC BJ30e, Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Electric, MG HS HEV, MG HS PHEV and Denza B5 and B8 are among the hybrid models on display, giving visitors a wider choice of hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains.
The Denza B5 and B8 take a different approach to conventional hybrid vehicles, pairing petrol engines with large-capacity batteries and electric motors capable of delivering meaningful electric-only driving.
Both SUVs offer a more performance-focused take on plug-in hybrid technology, combining sizeable battery packs, dual electric motors and four-wheel drive with petrol powertrains for a blend of performance, efficiency and off-road capability.
Denza B5
The Denza B5 is a five-seat plug-in hybrid SUV powered by a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and dual electric motors. The front motor produces up to 200 kW, while the rear motor produces 285 kW. Together, the hybrid system delivers a claimed 425 kW of combined power and 760 Nm of combined torque.
Power comes from a 31.8 kWh BYD Blade battery, which provides a 90 km pure-electric range under WLTC. The B5 has a claimed 850 km comprehensive operating range, while WLTC fuel consumption is rated at 10.92 litres per 100 km.
The SUV measures 4,888–4,921 mm in length, depending on the specification, with a 1,970 mm width and 2,800 mm wheelbase. It offers seating for five occupants.

Denza B8
The larger Denza B8 takes the formula further with a dual-motor, four-wheel-drive plug-in hybrid system. It produces 450 kW of combined power and 760 Nm of combined torque, allowing the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds.
The B8 uses a 36.864 kWh BYD Blade LFP battery and offers a 100 km pure-electric range under WLTC. Its total range is rated at 905 km under WLTP, while fuel consumption stands at 11.36 litres per 100 km under WLTC.
Charging is supported through 120 kW DC fast charging and 11 kW AC charging via a three-phase connection.
At 5,195 mm long and 1,994 mm wide, the B8 is substantially larger than the B5. It has a 2,920 mm wheelbase, 270 mm ground clearance and is available in six- or seven-seat configurations, giving it a stronger focus on space and off-road capability.
The Denza B8 is priced at Rs 3.80 crore in Nepal.
Denza Brings Performance-Focused PHEVs to Nepal
The B5 and B8 represent a more performance-oriented approach to plug-in hybrid SUVs, combining large batteries and electric motors with petrol engines rather than relying solely on a small hybrid battery. Their electric-only ranges allow short-distance driving on electric power, while the petrol engine provides additional flexibility for longer journeys.
